The Threads That Make Me

The Threads That Make Me was a workshop designed as a space to explore and exchange material information around the participants' identity. This stitch and language-based activity was formulated around theories of radical pedagogies, with a specific focus on creating a 'think-tank' around the gendered history of textiles. The stitched responses, produced individually, were collected and connected together as a collaboration of narratives and stories.

Note: this workshop was run during COVID-19 and therefore was not able to be facilitated in person – the outcomes were collected from the individuals and collated by Mia.
