In conjunction with the Weight of Words exhibition at the Henry Moore Institute, 2023.

 

Working across tactile and multidisciplinary processes, Weaving Words invited families to explore language as a tangible, interchangeable and three-dimensional form, ‘flipping back and forth between the meaningful and the material’. * 

 

This workshop was designed as a space between making and un-making, writing and un-writing, learning and un-learning, and aimed to experiment with materialising, deconstructing and re-purposing language. We contemplated methods and techniques for disassembling the written word and giving it new material form, weight and context.
